Distance Learning

OVER 1,100 STUDENTS OF THE LADY ELIZABETH SCHOOL IN BENITATXELL WILL CONTINUE WITH THEIR DISTANCE LEARNING

The indefinite closure of all schools decreed yesterday by the Conselleria de Educacion will not be a disruption of class for over 1,100 students of over 50 different nationalities from The Lady Elizabeth School (LES) in Benitatxell, Alicante.

Starting next Monday, March 16, they will continue their distance learning according to the contingency plan that the School’s Senior Leadership Team has been preparing for the past few weeks.

In the words of the LES Head of School, Chris Akin, “our top priority is that our students continue with their learning and we have a complete teaching program ready that combines the latest technologies and adapted methodology. We are an international school with students who will continue their classes remotely from Spain and also from other countries worldwide. If our experience can be of help to any other public or private educational centre, I make myself available to explain to anyone in the local media and educational community how we are working and share our knowledge. We are facing an unprecedented situation that we must face together for the common good of thousands of Valencian schoolchildren ”.

The Lady Elizabeth School is one of 43 schools networked as part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) group worldwide. Being part of this global educational community gives us a very valuable perspective. We receive continuous information from our colleagues about developments in their respective countries that help us anticipate and apply best practices in distance learning.
