What is the EYFS? The Early Years Foundation Stage is a framework for children up to the age of five, setting out six key areas of learning around which activities should be based. The development section covers:
At The Lady Elizabeth School we believe that the decision about where to send your child for these early and formative years is one of the most important decisions of their lives. It is the early years in school that set the pattern for future learning and that reinforce the values and lessons that you have so carefully nurtured in your child at home. At the end of their time in Early Years we aim to send confident, kind and happy children through to the rest of their school life. We offer a varied, challenging but fun curriculum giving experiences that enable each child to discover their particular strengths and talents. Children at The Lady Elizabeth School soon learn about the happiness and fulfilment that comes from learning and working together as a community. Parents are very important members of our School community. We work in close partnership as we believe that parental involvement and communication are central to your child’s success. Our facilities are excellent and provide a safe and stimulating environment for young children. Come and visit us so that you can witness the wonderful, happy children and observe the enthusiasm for learning.
